History

MHP sprouted independently in Seattle in 2013. Since then, we have been working to improve health education, mentorship, and service events in the Muslim community in Seattle. We host health fairs, free clinics, networking dinners, health talks, and mentorship programs by partnering with local masajid, community centers, and universities. In 2018, Muslim Health Professionals became a 501(c)3, multidisciplinary non-profit organization. We aspire to continue to improve the health of Muslims in the Puget Sound.

Our Mission

Muslim Health Professionals of Puget Sound, is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that aims to promote the career, service, and personal development of Muslims in healthcare in Seattle and surrounding areas.

Our Objectives

1

Provide regular health services to low-income families, including those lacking health insurance in the Puget Sound.

2

Host health talks and educational events at local mosques and restaurants.

3

Provide vertical and horizontal mentorship for both high school and undergraduate students interested in careers in healthcare.

4

Host networking events for professionals in order to increase collaboration and allow avenues for them to volunteer and give back to their community.

5

Host health care conferences and health fairs to provide education and services to the community.

Affiliations & Partnerships
